Ceta Canyon an Artist Retreat

Members of the West Texas Watercolor Society!

Ceta Canyon is a time for you to get away without the interruption of phones, family duties, etc. You can paint daylight to dark- or sleep until noon – your choice!

Dates for Ceta… March 13 through 21, 2016

It happens once a year, around March and  April,  located about 1 ½ hours north of Lubbock. This beautiful canyon is always visited by many deer and even some wild hogs. It has trails to take daily hikes or plein air painting. Ceta Canyon is  a large facility for painting and an updated lodge for sleeping, nothing fancy, but we don’t go for luxury, just plenty of painting,

Provided for your convenience :

  • a light box
  • opaque projector
  • books
  • videos

Having fun and  getting to know each other, sharing ideas and “goodies” that’s what Ceta Canyon thrives on. WE have critique time if you choose to participate. It’s a great opportunity to have other artists share their expertise with you.

We all bring the “kitchen sink” because you never know what you might decide to paint with:  watercolors, gouache, acrylic, collage – just no oils please, unless you want to do it in your own room or plein air.

The retreat chairperson will send a letter to those that participate, with suggestions on supplies and other items to pack.

Come join us for lots of fun and great painting!
