I started studying art when I retired from Lamesa school district in 2003.
I read books on art design, composition, and techniques consistently and constantly. And I have been blessed with artist friends who have been my mentors.
I like to experiment with new ways to develop watercolor techniques, especially using gesso on watercolor paper and painting watercolor on canvas. I like simple compositions and lots of color.
I take photos of landscapes and of people as we travel; then I use the photos as references to create paintings. I especially like to create paintings of flowers of of people. Watercolor has been an exciting journey for me these eleven years.
